Le spécimen figuré ci-dessus est tout à fait conforme à l’holotype de Buckman (1928, Type Ammonites part. VII, pl. DCCXCX).
Les exemplaires juvéniles se démarquent notamment par leur section de tour plus comprimée.
L’espèce est relevée à l’extrême base du Bathonien en Vendée, comme sur le GSSP du Bathonien ou comme indiqué par Buckman lors de la création de son espèce.
